EU Risk Assessment
BBP has undergone a full EU Risk Assessment which was conducted
by the Norwegian authorities in conjunction with EU Member State
Experts.
The assessment was conducted under Council Regulation (EEC) No
793/93 of 23 March 1993 on the evaluation and control of the risks
of existing substances. This involves the data reporting, priority
setting, risk evaluation and, where necessary, development of
strategies for limiting the risks of existing substances.
The final risk assessment report was published by the European
Commission's European Chemicals Bureau on February 22 2008.
A summary of the risk assessment and risk reduction measures
were published in the EU Official Journal on 14 June 2008.
